Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) Domesticated Salmonid Seedstock
The Domsea® superior bred salmon is the result of intensive, large-scale testing and selection. Today, Domsea strains represent the most successful quantitative breeding program in the salmon livestock industry.

True Domesticated Performance
The Domsea coho strain is the result of a family selection program of more than 15 generations. With the Domsea coho strain, farmers can grow a coho smolt to 20 grams in 100 days at 10oC from swim-up, which represents a five-fold improvement in productivity since the beginning of the breeding program.

This is truly a domesticated stock, bred to perform well when raised in captivity. The brood has been selected for fast growth, high feed conversations and ease of domestic fish culture.

Viruses: VHS, IPN and IHN
Protozoa: Myxosoma cerebralis, Gyrodactylus
Bacteria: There have been no epizootics of BKD in this stock or at the hatchery for the past five years.
